Hello!
My name is Anthony Remedios. Sports and music have always been two of my biggest passions in life. From the dog days of summer at then-AT&T Park in San Francisco to a random San Jose Sharks game in the middle of January, I grew up going to sports games all the time with friends and family. I was fortunate enough to attend one game each round of the Giants’ World Series dynasty of the 2010s and two games of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals, among countless others. In just the last two years, I added the 2023 World Baseball Classic, another World Series, 2024 WM Phoenix Open, and 2024 NCAA Men’s Final Four to the list – a result of living in the Phoenix area for the last four and a half years.
My parents took me to my first concert when I was six years old to see The Beach Boys at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, a small 3,500-seat outdoor venue which overlooks the beautiful view of the Silicon Valley. For a long time, that was quite literally the only band I listened to. Then, over time, my horizons have grown dramatically – and now, I listen to everything from classic rock bands of our parents’ generation, to country, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, and even the mellow vibes of Jack Johnson. I average about 8 concerts a year, some with family, others with friends, and on a rare occasion, a show on my own.
But when I think about all these experiences and the commonality of how I developed a passion for these things, it all starts with family. My parents and grandparents were all sports fanatics, dating back to their experiences playing sports as kids. From an early age, they wanted to me to have the same opportunity. Seriously, I wasn’t even a year old when I went to my first baseball and hockey games. I’m almost 23 now.
